Protect your scalp before application with this essential 60ml scalp protector spray. Applied to a clean scalp, it creates a protective barrier that shields your skin from adhesive and toupee or hair topper contact. A crucial step in any hair system application routine, this product helps maintain scalp health and comfort while ensuring secure, long-lasting wear.

A lightweight barrier cream that protects your scalp from irritation caused by adhesives and tape. Apply before fitting to create a breathable, comfortable base and support healthy scalp skin between wears. Use: Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry scalp before attachment. Allow to dry fully before applying adhesive.

FAQs

  • It creates a thin, invisible barrier between your skin and the adhesive. That barrier does three jobs: it shields your scalp from direct glue contact (less irritation), gives the adhesive a smoother surface to grip (stronger, longer-lasting bond), and makes removal cleaner with less residue left behind. It's the step that separates a comfortable wear from an itchy one.
  • The hold isn't the only thing at stake — your skin is. Repeated glue application directly onto bare scalp is the most common cause of irritation, redness, and breakouts under a system. The protector also helps the bond stand up to sweat and oil, so if you train, live somewhere humid, or have oily skin, you'll likely notice the hold lasts longer too.
  • Start with a clean, completely dry scalp. Apply a thin, even layer only where the adhesive will sit, and let it dry fully before applying your glue — usually a minute or two. Thin is key: more product doesn't mean more protection, and excess can actually interfere with the bond.
  • It's designed exactly for that purpose — reducing skin-to-adhesive contact is the main reason to use it. If you have very reactive skin, do a patch test on your inner forearm 24 hours before first use, as you would with any new scalp product.
  • A long time. You're only applying a thin layer along the bond area, so most wearers on a 2–4 week reattachment cycle get several months from one bottle. If you're going through it quickly, you're probably applying more than you need.
